What We Believe
· We believe in one God, the Father, who created everything.
· We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
· We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life and was crucified by wicked men. He died and was raised again for our salvation.
· He ascended to heaven where he now sits at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is the mediator between God and men and reconciles us to God by grace. He is actively involved in the lives of believers and helps us to become more like Him. We are His witnesses in the earth and our mission is to spread the Good News about the Kingdom.
· We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth, will judge the living and the dead who will be raised, and will set up God’s Kingdom on the earth.
· We believe that the Holy Spirit is the power and presence of God.
· The Bible was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit and it is therefore the Word of God.
· We believe that man is mortal and that the soul does not exist after death until the resurrection at the second coming of Christ.
· We believe the devil is used in scripture to represent whatever is against God and most often as a symbol to describe the sinful tendencies of human nature. It is not a supernatural being.
· We believe that when someone comes to Christ they need to repent, change their way of life, and live in obedience to His commandments. Baptism by full immersion in water is a symbol of being raised to a new life in Christ and is a commandment new believers must follow.
· We believe that believers in Jesus Christ should help and support each other and work together for achieving God’s purpose in the world. Believers should meet together for worship, prayer, Bible reading, to encourage each other and to remember Jesus Christ by breaking bread together.
