At present we have two projects here. They are:
Sewing Centre - girls come to learn how to sew and acquire a skill so they can find work. They also have Bible study sessions and some of the students have been baptized.
Primary School - many Christian children live in very poor circumstances and have no opportunity to attend school as it’s necessary for the family to pay for teaching and provide books and pencils etc. The APCC school subsidises the students and caters for approximately 30 children, teaching basic literacy and numeracy.
There are various leisure activities organised by the group which have Bible Study sessions at the end of the activities
In the future, funds permitting, there are plans to run various kind of skills training for older boys.
Karachi
Bible Basics Open School is sending out increasing numbers of Bible study lessons on a regular basis. We need Bibles to give to the students and donations to cover the cost of printing and postage.
Future plans include a school which will be self supporting. It is at present in the funding stage.
